The Geosciences Environment Toulouse laboratory (GET) consists of over 250 people (including approximately 175 permanent staff and 60 PhD students). It is supported by three organisations the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the University of Toulouse and the Institute de Recherche pour le Dévéloppement (IRD) together with a contractual arrangement involving the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES). The GET laboratory has a proven expertise in the field of Earth and Environmental sciences and in the field of Environmental GNSS solutions including GALILEO specification.
The expertise within the GET laboratory is based on an unique analytical and experimental park. The quality of research, in particular those topics integrating environmental and societal aspects, has been identified as strategic priorities by national and European funding agencies. GET wet areas and GNSS-R specialist : We can optimize the reflection geometries and the spatial resolutions from the wet land area, these measurements can be validate by in situ moisture measurement or radar imagery analysis. The contributions to the project are bases on :
- in-depth experience of remote sensing, GNSS, GNSS-R for the agriculture and environmental wet land, monitoring of river.
- good knowledge of the technical issues related to wetland and river monitoring, water sensing, as well as soil moisture and water stress detection in crops and natural environment. Good knowledge of technical issue related to river floods. Monitoring level of continental water.
- Good knowledge of the risk management : floods and flooded areas by remote sensing and GNSS methodologies.
